It is with deep regret the Officers and members of the William Penn Fire Company announce the death of Life member Donald Mather. Donald passed away on Tuesday February 13th, 2018.
Donald G. Mather passed away Tuesday February 13, 2018 at the St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 77. He was born in Abington and had been a longtime resident of Langhorne. Don served his country proudly in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the Jesse W. Soby Post 148 for 48 years. Don's law enforcement career spanned over 40 years having been a Middletown Police Officer and Juvenile Detective, and then a Bucks County Detective then promoted to Bucks County Deputy Chief Detective. Don is survived by his loving wife Bette Mather; his children Shelli Jordan, Dawn Mather (Ed Martin), Darren Mather, Mandi Mather (Dan Ratz) and his grandchildren Chelsey, Brendan, Samantha, Jake, Deirdre and Alyssa. He is also survived by many siblings, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the James O. Bradley Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Bellevue Ave.,Penndel, PA 19047 on Sunday evening from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Monday morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service to be held at 11:00 am. His interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Don’s memory may be made to the American Legion, Jesse W. Soby Post 148, 115 W. Richardson Ave., Langhorne, PA 19047
